Caroline A. Cox, age 96, passed away on her birthday, Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, at Hetzel Care Center in Bloomer.
She was born Jan. 25, 1912, in Chippewa County to Benhard and Elise (Voigt) Biskey. She married Earl Cox on Nov. 12, 1932, in Bloomer. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Ladies Aide in Bloomer. She enjoyed writing poetry, traveling, crocheting, sewing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol Jean (Glen) Polzin of Livermore Calif., Kathryn (Robert) Jensen of Cadiz Ky. and Priscilla "Perky" (Don) Mullen of Bloomer; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Fox, Jane Christian, Orrin (Diane) Nelson, Darrin (Kris) Nelson, Lisa (Duane) Konkel, Lori (Matt) Thuecks and Linda (Jason) Bulgrin; 12 great-grandchildren, Ryan Fox, Danielle Fox, Alan Christian, Kaylee Nelson, Alyssa Nelson, Tabitha Nelson, Tanner Nelson, Emma Thuecks, Joseph Thuecks, Melissa Konkel, Paige Bulgrin and Jaxon Bulgrin; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl; two brothers, Herbert and Carl; and one sister, Ada.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bloomer with Rev. Bruce Rimmereid officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery.
