Brian died after a hard fought battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gwen Gilbert; his mother, Wilma Gilbert; brothers, Mark Gilbert (Rhonda), Greg McGuire (Debbie), Zach McGuire; and sister, Becky McGuire. Nieces, Mandy Winefeldt (Mickael), Carissa Mourning (Zhan), Mallori Sweeney (Tyler); nephews, Zach Glossip, Chris McGuire (Amber), Derek McGuire (Jenny), Bryce McGuire (Kayla), Daniel Lee; great-nieces and nephews, Raven, Brett, Penny, River, Silas, Lily and Archer; and a host of other family members.
Preceded in death by his father, Robert Gilbert; nephew, Jacob Gilbert; and beloved cousin, Kevin Cowley.
Brian was a member of First Baptist Church Lamar, Grace Place Church of Lamar and played guitar for the worship teams at both churches. He enjoyed spending time with family, camping, fishing, baseball, coaching baseball, Upward basketball And was an avid Kansas Chiefs fan.
Cremation arrangements are by Midland Cremation Society of Joplin, Missouri.
