Linda Lou Jones Hyatt, 78 of Morehead, Kentucky passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, at her daughter's home surrounded by her family. She was born May 27, 1944, in Bath County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Winford and Sylvia Hamilton Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son David Harley Hyatt. Her siblings, Merle Jones, Jean Russell, Carolyn Cooper, Betty Hohenbrink and Cathy Shrout.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Herbert Hyatt, one daughter, Jill (Harley)Sexton of Morehead Kentucky, four grandchildren, Jessica (Matt) Kiser, Taylor (Misty) Hyatt Elijah (Nikki) Sexton all of Morehead and Elizabeth (Luke) Gillie of Salt Lick Kentucky, Great Grandchildren, Abram Sexton and Gabby Sexton and Baby Hyatt due March 1st, Linda would be so excited to know that Taylor and Misty were expecting.

Linda was Homemaker who took pride in keeping her home clean, modern and decorated. She was a loving and nurturing person and was a caregiver for her parents, brother and sister. She loved her family and wanted to do all she could for them in their last days. Linda was a member of the Sharkey Baptist Church and when she was able, she enjoyed helping with church dinners and cleaning.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday August 1, 2022, at the Sharkey Baptist Church with Pastor Harley Sexton, Jr. and Pastor Elijah Sexton officiating. Scripture reading and prayer will be by Abram Sexton.

Burial will follow in the Caudill Cemetery at Sharkey.

Visitation at the Sharkey Baptist Church is after 5:00 pm Sunday.

Pall bearers will be Roger Davis, Rick Davis, Elijah Sexton, Taylor Hyatt, Abram Sexton. Tom McCarty and Sumner McCarty.
