Obituary for Bob Lawson
Robert Gayle Lawson was born on June 26, 1942, to Shelby Dayton Lawson and Marjorie Ellen (Hickman) Lawson in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
After graduating high school, Robert attended Phillips University, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree. He also served our country honorably by joining the Air Force.
Robert met the love of his life, Jan LaVal in college. They married in Joplin, Missouri in 1966. They had two sons, Rob Lawson and Brad Lawson, both of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Robert worked as a magazine editor and very much enjoyed reading in his spare time. He owned an online book selling business that he ran with his brother, Shelby. He enjoyed going to estate sales and traveling around the country with his wife Jan. They especially enjoyed going to historical sights and Civil War destinations. Robert was known for his dry sense of humor and love for "A Christmas Story". He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and grandfather.
He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
