The funeral service for Wendy Anne Coleman, 61, of Columbia, will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. The Reverend Jeff Kinney of East Lake Community Church will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Wendy was born in Columbia, SC on August 27, 1960, and departed this early life on July 25, 2022. She is the daughter of Patricia Faile Coleman and the late John R. Coleman, Sr. She was a proud graduate of Cardinal Newman High School (Class of 1978) and finished Midlands Technical College with an Associate Degree in Dental Assisting. Wendy worked for a few dentists in the Columbia area but worked at Jackson Smile Studios for over 15 years. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Columbia and previously taught pre-school at St. Andrew's Baptist Church. She was a beloved baseball mom who really loved her children. Wendy loved the Lord Jesus, her family, friends, and Elvis with all her heart.

Survivors include her mother, Patricia F. Coleman of Columbia; sons, Brandon R. Burns (Elena King) and Nicholas A. Burns (Danielle Brittain) both of Columbia; sister, Elizabeth A. Coleman-Hetzel (David Wechter), and brother; John R. Coleman, Jr, both of Columbia; Father of her sons and married for 28 years, William Michael Burns, Sr.; stepson, William Michael Burns, Jr., (Jenni Burns); niece, Heather Hetzel (Jordan Whitney) grandchildren, Jackson A. Burns, Samuel Burns, Abigail Burns, and Aiden Brittain. She was predeceased by her father John R. Coleman Sr., and her nephew, Jonathan Coleman.

Memorials in lieu of flowers should be made to American Cancer Society 200 Central Point Circle, Columbia, SC 29210, or First Baptist Church of Columbia, 1306 Hampton Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
