G.B. LESOVSKY AT REST
Republic County suffered the loss of its most illustrious citizens, last Thursday, with the passing of Geo. B. Lesovsky, who died at a Concordia hospital, as the result of blood poising caused by an infected finger.
Funeral services were held at the country home, west of town, Monday afternoon, May 18.
The enormous crowd in attendance, the largest ever to attend a funeral in this vicinity, spoke mutely of the high esteem the deceased and his family enjoyed in this community. There were upward of two hundred and fifty cars in the procession to the cemetery.
He will be greatly missed by the community, as well as by his family.

George B. Lesovsky was born March 21, 1887, near Wayne, Kansas, and passed away May 14, 1936, at a hospital in Concordia, Kansas, at the age of 49 years, 2 months and seven days.

He was born and raised on a farm, and lived all his life on the farm in the vicinity, of Cuba, Kansas. On the 28th of May, 1912, he was united in marriage to Frances Blazek. Five sons were born to this union, all living.

He was of a quiet and retiring nature; a devoted husband and father. For him, to live was to work for his beloved family; to promote peace in his neighborhood, to sustain good will, and to make friends everywhere. He was deeply interested in giving the best possible education to his sons.

Sudden death snatched him out of our midst, and he leaves his departure, his wife; his sons: Leon William, Glen Ernest, George, Jr., Vincent Thomas, and Marion Milroy; his parents, Eman and Catherine Lesovsky; his sisters: Mrs. Rose Fisher, of Cuba; Mrs. Bessie Makalous of Narka; and Mrs. Mary Huncovsky of Cuba; five brothers, Joseph and Frank, of Narka; Henry, of Puente, Calif.; Charles of Cuba; and William of Washington, Kans.; many other relatives, his neighbors , and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the ranch home, Monday afternoon, May 18, with Rev. George Kmecik officiating. Burial was made in the Kopsa Cemetery.
