A simple man whose love was farming he retired after 30 years as a shift supervisor at BASF Inc. in Asheville.
He is survived by two nephews Kelvin King and Lewis Wayne King. A very special friend Sue Jenkins of Waynesville. Several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents one brother Lewis Willard King, two half-brothers Jarvis Haney and William Haney. One half-sister Elsie Haney Cooper.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday July 27th, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Smoky Mountain Cremations and Funeral Service, with Rev. Donnie Henson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
