David was the son of Tom and Kathryn Davis. He grew up with Diana, Spike (Tom Jr) and me. David spent his childhood testing the waters. He saw everything as an adventure and that sense of adventure frequently got him into hot water. I remember Dad telling a story about 13 month old David being fascinated by the bulbs on our Christmas tree. David pulled one from the tree and Dad said don't do it David. But David just had to do it. The bulb exploded as hit hit the hardwood floor. He looked at Dad with wide eyes and before Dad could repeat himself he grabbed another and it exploded like the first one. Nothing stopped his enthusiasm for exploring and adventure. When he was 5 he had a hernia surgery. Back then it was a couple nights in the hospital. I remember Mom bringing him home from the hospital. She walked in the house and said where is David? He had jumped on his bike and was peddling down the street.
David was married 3 times. The first marriage gave him his only child Sarah Christine. He loved that child with all of his heart. There were gaps in their relationship as she was growing up. But his love for her never changed.
