Theresa Mary Griffin died peacefully in her sleep on July 22nd. She is reunited with her husband Harry Griffin who passed away in 2016. Theresa suffered from a stroke in April of this year and never fully recovered use of much of her body and the ability to speak. Unfortunately she was not able to drive to her funeral as she always told us she was planning to do.

Theresa loved being a wife and mother and the biggest thing in her life was her family, her children and her siblings and she loved visiting them and having them visit her. She still had a passion for her native England, which is why she made Harry move to Tacoma Washington, which must have some of the worst dreary rainy weather in America. But that reminded her of her English roots and she was proud to tell everybody that she was indeed "the reigning queen" or was it "raining Queen"?

She was active in the British wives club for many years and watched many of her fellow widows pass away. She was preceded in death earlier this year by her brother Ronan Brocklesby and her sister Beating-Drum, AKA Mary. She is survived by her last sibling Gabrielle Brocklesby who resides in Dun Laoghaire Ireland I can only imagine that they are reuniting and my mother is insisting on a cup of hot tea with fresh milk.

She is survived by all her children who love and miss her including Stephen, Philip Mark, Robert, Vincent, Marie, Daniel and all her grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Disciples Catholic Church 10425 187th St. E. Puyallup at 9:00AM July 29. 2022
