The first person buried in the Goodgame Cemetery is Mary Ann Francis Goodgame, daughter of John Anderson Goodgame - who donated the two acres as a cemetery in 1901 - and granddaughter of Floyd Crockett Goodgame. She had no marker. She was born in 1860 and died in 1863 during the Civil War. Her sister Hulda Alice (1861¬1865) had no marker. Her brother Andrew Jackson (1878-1889) had no marker. These were aunts and uncle of Leona, who turned in
and bought markers for all three from Carroll-Lehr in 1988. Leona went to the Goodgame Cemetery to oversee the proper placement
of markers for Hulda Elizabeth, Mary Ann Francis, Hulda Alice, and Andrew Jackson Goodgame.
Now all the Goodgames buried in the Goodgame Cemetery have beautiful markers.
