Actor. Son of a prose actor and a chorister of the San Carlo in Naples, he made his debut at the age of 6, playing a child in the 'Madama Butterfly'. Graduated in singing at the Conservatory, in the sixties, he made his debut as an opera singer. In those same years he also made his debut as an actor in the company of Eduardo De Filippo, in whose company he participated in the film transpositions of 'Sabato, Domenica e Lunedì', 'Ditegli sempre di si', 'Filumena Marturano', 'Napoli Milionaria', 'Il sindaco del rione Sanità' and 'Mia Famiglia'. In those years he also recorded two LPs creating the character Don Liborio Occhialoni. As a voice actor he voiced Enrico Maria Salerno in 'No il caso è felicemente risolto' and Gipo Farassino in 'Un uomo, una città'. Between the sixties and the eighties he is active in television and cinema. At the end of the nineties, with his son Maurizio and Vincenzo Salemme he takes part in 'Amore a prima vista', playing the role of the protagonist's father. Later he participated in 'Una donna per la vita' (2011) and 'Babbo Natale non viene da Nordh' (2015) directed by his son Maurizio Casagrande. In the last period of his life he was engaged in the theater with his company composed of Tiziana De Giacomo, Ania Cecilia, Marianna Liguori, Luca Varone in 'Caffè notturno: c'è di peggio care signore'.
