Harold was devoted to his family, church and Duplicate Bridge. He was a Senior Warden, Junior Warden and Vestry member at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Spartanburg and worked tirelessly in their ministries. He committed his time as an AWARE instructor, Adult Learning Center and Mobile Meals volunteer. A member of the American Contract Bridge League, he achieved the ranking of Bronze Life Master. Harold and Betty enjoyed so much of their time playing bridge and being with their friends.
Harold was the son of the late Jack Ras and Ellen Bunn Holland of Rome, Georgia. He is survived by his three sons Charles (Ann) of Charlotte, NC, David (Beth) of Greenville, SC, and Luke (Lisa) of Fort Mill, SC and ten grandchildren. He is also survived by two great grandchildren and a third due soon. He is predeceased by a sister Joyce Holland Griffin, and three brothers, Joie Lindsay Holland, James Conrad Holland, and Michael Wayne Holland.
A Memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 30, 2022, at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 400 Dupre Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Reverend Deborah Apoldo. Visitation will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall. Entombment will be in St. Christopher's Episcopal Church Columbarium, 400 Dupre Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
