Arlene Aaker was born Feb. 14, 1924, the daughter of Ole and Hilda Olson Aaker, in Reynolds, N.D., where she grew up. She graduated from Central High School in Grand Forks. She received her teaching degree from Mayville (N.D.) State College and a master's degree from UND in 1962. She taught school in Lake Washington Consolidated School in Warwick, N.D. South Junior High School in Grand Forks also in Kenmare, McVille, Pembina and Petersburg, N.D., and Fisher, Minn. schools. In 1984, she moved to Houston, where she taught in a Christian school. She married Manford Nesheim in September 1946 in Crookston. He died Feb. 26, 1975.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Larimore, N.D. Burial will be at Arvilla Cemetery . Arrangements are with Bakke Funeral Home, Larimore.
Survivors are her son, Russell, Larimore; two grandchildren; sister, Iona (Mrs. Clem) Wetsch, Minot: and brothers, Arthur and Arvid, both of Grand Forks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Gladys (Mrs. Arnold) Hetland; and brother Harlen.
