He was in company with Ralph Forker, and they were loading slab wood on a trailer when he became stricken. Forker and other workmen at the mill thought Lepper had stumbled over a piece of wood. Lepper was a carpenter by trade.
Coroner J. D. Hall of Kendallville, was summoned and upon investigation pronounced death due to coronary thrombosis.
