Passed away unexpectedly on the evening of Tuesday, July 26, 2022, surrounded by her family. Born October 1, 1959, to Beth and Don Misner in Lansing, Michigan. Kathy was an only child. Growing up she liked to spend time on her grandparent's farm and playing tennis at school. She graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1977. Kathy loved cooking big family meals, shopping, Coca-Cola, and spoiling the kids. The kids are still arguing over who mom's favorite was, but her only grandchild, Kaliana takes that title! Kathy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a second mom to some. She spent some of her most memorable moments with her husband, Clayton. One very memorable moment was their trip to Florida with aunt Lydia and uncle Rich when everyone got sunburnt and she rubbed tea on all of them. Kathy was the light of Clayton's life and the rock of the family and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Beth and Don Misner. Surviving is her husband of 29 years, Clayton Hunter; children, Erin, Steven, James, Matt, Betsy (Katie), Zaynab; only grandchild, Kaliana; mother-in-law, Gail; fur baby, Maggie Moo and fur grandkids, Theo and Rex.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Skinner Funeral Home Lansing Chapel. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3-7 pm at the funeral home.
