In loving memory of Sandra Crawford: 1942-2022

Sandra Dawn (Folsom) Crawford was born May 14, 1942, in Leavenworth, Washington, the first daughter and second of seven children of Maxwell Peterson and Marjorie Emma (Wall) Folsom.

In 1949, Sandra moved to Ephrata, Washington through high school graduation in 1960. She was a freshman at Brigham Young University- Hawaii and a sophomore at Brigham Young University-Provo.

Sandra first married Ronald Melvin West in 1962, who was the father of her eight children: Barry (Melanie), of Lake Stevens, Washington; Randy, of Cougar, Washington; Stephanie (Mike) Macula, of Lehi, Utah; Darren (Claudia), of Gilbert, Arizona; Jeremy (Shannon), of Ariel, Washington; Jodie (Anthony Webster), of Yacolt, Washington; Amy (Colin) Esko, of Salem, Oregon; and Emily (Travis Schmidt), of Woodland, Washington, all of whom survive Sandra, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She married the love of her life, Robert James Crawford, in 1995, who survives her along with his nine children, many grandkids and great-grandchildren. She loved them all and they all called her grandma. She is survived by siblings Diane Packham, of Provo, Utah; Marianne (Dale) Anderson, of Provo, Utah; Brad (Wendy) Folsom, of Ogden, Utah; and Lisa (Mike) Becker, of Boise, Idaho.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Phil and Greg.

Sandra was an accomplished pianist and organist and spent many years serving The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of which she was a lifelong member. She loved to sew and made over 150 quilts for family members, friends and humanitarians. She enjoyed Sudoku puzzles, especially the 16 square challenger. As of late, she enjoyed many hours indexing genealogical records like births, deaths, marriages, etc. for Family Search. She hoped to reach a million names before she passed and was over 900,000 as of July of 2022.

There was a viewing on July 28, 2022, and a funeral service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 281 Insel Road, Woodland, Washington, 98674. Interment was at Lone Pine Cemetery in Ariel, Washington.
