Born Dec. 16, 1917, in Chicago, the son of Christian and Ottilie Evensen, he passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 7, 2005. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Schultz on Oct. 14, 1939. As a sheet-metal worker, he formed the brass, copper and steel into unique projects for his industry. His passion for music allowed him to be closely involved with his sons as they learned to master their instruments. He coached his son's baseball team and taught Sunday school for over 25 years. He loved his wife, his children and his Lord. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; sons, Arnold (Patti) Evensen of Keshena, Wis., Ronald (Charlene) Evensen of South Elgin, Gary (Karen) Evensen of Wheaton and Dale (Christine) Evensen of Batavia; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
