Richard Lee Morgan, 83, peacefully passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born August 24, 1938 in York, PA to the late Alexander Henry Morgan and Pauline Amsbaugh Morgan and was the loving husband for 61 years to Sheila Darleen Bain Morgan. Richard retired as an Operations Specialist Senior Chief with the U.S. Navy after 34 years of honorable service where he received a Bronze Star. He was a Vietnam Vet, a member of Knights of Columbus and a devoted Catholic.

Along with his wife, Sheila, he is survived by four daughters, Sherrie Morgan (Andrea) of Melbourne, FL, Deborah Williams (Michael) of Elizabeth City, NC, Catherine Parsons (Warren) of Stafford, VA , Leslie King (Christian) of Honolulu, HI; and his son, Gary Stitcher (Heather) of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Benjamin Wescott, Lauren Carlton (Joshua), Alexander Johnston (Katie), Lexi King, Autumn Garcia, Payton Morgan Kifus, Evie Parsons, Christian King, Jr., and Levi King; great grandchildren, Aviv Diaz, Elsie Carlton, and Shem Tov Diaz. He was predeceased by his sisters, Doris Stitcher and Barbara Morgan and brothers, William Morgan and James Morgan.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at the Twiford Memorial Chapel officiated by Pastor Michael Hubbard. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel. A burial with military honors will take place at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, VA
