Obituary of Jennie Cannon
"Funeral services for Mrs Jennie Cannon were held at Crane's Undertaking Chapel at two o'clock monday afternoon. Pastor Frank Weston of the First Baptist church was in charge. He spoke from Psalm 127:2 "for so he giveth his beloved sleep". Mrs Anna Harschberger, Mrs Rachael Wormhoudt, Mr Sebastion Skipton and Mr Weston with Mrs Catherine Noble as accompianist, sang "The Beautiful River", "The Sweet Bye and Bye, and "Asleep in Jesus". The flowers were beautiful. Mssrs AL Knapp, Ira Jones, Rufus Smith, L L Tumey, John Van Syoc and Frank Edwards carried the body to it's last resting place in Forest Home Cemetery. Mrs Jennie Cannon, daughter of Joseph G and Almira [Warner] Williams was born January third 1866 and departed this life January first 1932. About the year 1888 she was married to James Cannon. Four children were born to them. One died in infancy. Those remaining with their father to mourn are Clyde, Joseph and Blanche. One brother, U.S.G. Williams, Mt Pleasant, Iowa and and one half brother Mr J.M.T. Williams, Centralia, Washington also survive. Mrs Cannon was for many years an invalid and her going brings to rest her wearied soul."
