George Vale was a son of William Vale (1815-1864). He was born in East Sussex County in 1843.

On October 27th, 1867, he married Ellen Barnard (1840-1927) at Trinity Church in St. Marylebone, Middlesex, England.

While living in England they had a son born to them named
1. William John Vale (1869-1870).

Shortly, after the death of their son, George and Ellen immigrated to Canada in 1871 and settled in Ontario Province.

They than add 4 more children born to them while living in Ontario.
2. George Vale (1871-1947).
3. Jessie Lemar Vale (1874-1946) m. (James Milligan).
4. Rev. Alfred James Vale (1876-1963) m. (1. Mary Nash 2. Kate Gibson).
5. Arthur William Vale (1880-1965) m. (Mabel Sheryer).

Since 1891 till his death in 1919, George was a inmate at the House of Refuge in Berlin, Ontario.
