January 21, 1942 – July 23, 2022

Carol Canady Braswell, 80, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, her parents moved back to Richmond while she was still a
toddler, and she grew up in Richmond. A long-time member of Northside Baptist Church, she
married her husband in the old Northside church in 1959. She was a graduate of John Marshall High School Class of 1960. She worked most of her life as a paralegal prior to her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Norman Canady and Ruby Wood Canady.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Tommy Braswell; her five children, Tim, Mike (his husband, Tom), Kristy, Andy (his wife, Andrea), and Lee; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 5 at Northside Baptist Church,
7600 Studley Rd, Mechanicsville, Virginia, 23116. Interment will be private.
