The death of Matthew M. Metcalf occurred late Friday at his home on Rochester Street. He had been an invalid for some time. Born in Centerville, N.Y., on March 7, 1847, one of 6 children of Abel and Mary Seanon Metcalf, and had resided in Warsaw for the last 30 years. On December 25, 1875, he married Jane Jones of Freedom, N.Y. She survives, also a son George Metcalf of Warsaw, 3 sisters and a brother, Mrs. Julia Wilson of Sandusky, N.Y., Mrs. Frank Lawrence, Farmersville Station, Mrs. William Van Valkenburg, Fairview, N.Y., and Samuel Metcalf of Gainesville.
