She was born March 19, 1947 in Lexington, VA, daughter of Irma Whitmore Cauley of Fishersville and the late Joe "Buddy" Heizer.
Glenda was a member of Fishersville United Methodist Church. She was a teacher at Woodrow Wilson Rehab Center for nine years and at Wilson Memorial High School for seventeen years. She then moved to the Central office of Augusta County Public Schools for seven years.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was very thankful for the retirement celebration in her honor by her co-workers and the surprise 60th birthday party given by her family.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 32 years, Mearl K. Gordon; daughter Ashley G. Bradley and her boyfriend Randy Elliott of Stanardsville, VA; step-son K. Scott Gordon and his wife Jacki Darby Gordon of Moseley, VA; grandchildren Megan and Darby; and half sister Kathy H. Hasty and her husband Joey of Orlando, FL. She is also survived by one niece, Ella, and one nephew, Joey.
Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
