Jasper Von Flowers, son of David and Mary Diana Flowers, was born October 30, 1880 in Jackson County, departed this life July 8, 1947. He was united in marriage to Orpha Absten on November 23, 1901. To this union seven children were born, named as follows: Mrs. Verda Golden, Miss Bella Flowers, Mrs. Odessa Moore, Mrs. Fayetta Stover, Mrs. Jessie Harmon and Basil Flowers, all of Columbus, Ohio. One infant son preceded him in death. Mr. Flowers became ill about three months ago. The last three weeks of his life were spent in the White Cross Hospital at Columbus. He has been a member of the Creston Church of the E.U.B. Conference for a number of years. He also leaves nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the Creston Church July 11, at 2 o'clock p.m. with Rev. I.J. McCollum officiating and interment was made in the Creston Cemetery.
