Son of Edward Lawton Mock and Lucy Pauline Faust of Screven County, GA. Ralph was born 3rd of 15 children.

Ralph was a Screven County, GA native and moved to Jacksonville, FL to work with CSX RR. When he retired from CSX, he moved to Chatham County, GA for the remainder of his life.


Mr. Ralph C. Mock, age 90, born August 20, 1913 died Monday, September 15, 2003 at Moss Oaks Nursing home.

The Screven County native was a retired account manager for CSX Railroad and a member of Jackson Baptist Church in Sylvania. He enjoyed going to the park and feeding the pigeons and squirrels.

He was predeceased by his parents, Edward Lawton Mock and Lucy Pauline Faust Mock; sister Lillian M. Bragg; brothers, David Mock, Frank Mock, Thomas Mock, Robbie Mock, Sam Mock and Paul Mock.

Survivors include his sisters, Emily E. Williams of Orlando, FL; Jessie M. Zettler of South Guyton; and Lucille M. Williams of Cocoa, FL and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at the funeral home. Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Jackson Baptist Church. Interment will be in Jackson Baptist Church Cemetery in Sylvania.

Remembrances may be given to Jackson Baptist Church, 202 Dogwood Drive, Sylvania, GA 30467. Arrangements handled by Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Homes, Effingham Chapel.
