Son of Joseph Cornelious, Sr. and Magdeline Hutson. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years on the USS Canberra. After leaving the military, he worked as the general manager of Interstate Brand Bakeries for 38 years. Upon retirement, he obtained a Captain License where he was a charter boat fishing guide for 10 years at Santee Cooper Lakes. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his father-in-law, Lanier Mulligan. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Brenda Hutson; mother-in-law, Vaudice Mulligan of Milton, GA; three sons, Joseph "Skip" Huston III (Jackie) of Milford, OH, Kenneth Hutson (Sheila) of Jacksonville, FL, and Christopher Scott Hutson (Cary) of Florence, SC; daughter, Sonya Kendrick (Wayne) of Lake Wylie, SC; sisters, Barbara Lucius (Vince) of Huntsville, AL, and Cyndi Aresenault (Woody) of Summerville, SC; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
