Thomas Walter Cochran, Jr., 71, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2022 with his family by his side. He was born on January 18, 1951 to Thomas Walter Cochran, Sr. and Suzanne (Miller) Cochran in Wheeling, West Virginia. Tom graduated from Hoban High School and obtained his Associates Degree from Community College of Southern Nevada.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired in 1992 receiving an honorable discharge.
Tom married the love of his life, Peggy Sue Jones, on June 6, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They shared 30 years of life, marriage, family and love together.
Tom worked as an electronic engineer at JT3 until his retirement in 2013. He was a member of the VFW and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Tom was involved in Boy Scouts when his kids were young. Tom loved anything to do with the outdoors and enjoyed boating and playing golf. He loved his family and friends very much and loved spending time with them.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas, Sr. and Suzanne Cochran; sister, Anne Eckenrode; son, Christopher Cochran; and step-mother, Mary Cochran.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Peggy of the home; children, Traci Cochran of Dallas, GA, Thomas Cochran III and wife Angela of Mt. Morris, MI, Bobby Michael and wife Laura of Kennesaw, GA, and Shanna Michael and husband Steve of Rockmart, GA; brothers, Geary Cochran and wife Shelley of Chagrin Falls, OH, James Cochran and partner Lynn of Rittman, OH, David Cochran of Ravenna, OH, and Robert Cochran and wife Annette of Sunbury, OH; brother-in-law, Jim Eckenrode of Akron, OH; grandchildren, Zachary Cochran and wife Karlie of Muskogee, OK, Baylee Cochran of Cedar City, UT, Ashley Cochran, Aaron Cochran, Andrew Cochran, Aubree Cochran all of Mt.
