JAMES WILLIAM RICHARDS James William Richards was born on March 4, 1940 in Elkhorn, Manitoba Canada. He was the son of Herbert and Mary Anne Richards. Jim was a long time Chico, CA. resident and owner of Dee Jay Motors. He passed on July 8 with his long-time life partner Yvonne Loomis at his side. Jim is survived by his daughter Carolyn Wood, her husband Brad and stepson Jacob as well as his life partner Yvonne Loomis and extended family Shea and Bruce Karolyi, grand daughters Mckynna and Morgan Karolyi and Shawn and Denise Lemison and grandson Rodger Lemison. "Jim" was well loved and will be remembered at a graveside service at Glen Oaks cemetery on July 29th at 10:00 a.m. The service will be officiated by Chaplin Georgeanne Bennett. After Jim retired, he built an airplane and also enjoyed hiking and exploring in the surrounding areas, nature, tinkering with old cars and backyard barbeques.
