Billy Joe Taylor 86, of Midland, Texas went home to meet the Lord July 20, 2022. He was born to Lona Mae and Floyd Denton Taylor on October 10, 1935, in Roscoe, Texas.

He married the love of his life Frances Mae Jones (Sue) on June 30, 1956, in McCamey, Texas.

Billy Joe was known for his big heart and generosity. He loved the Lord with all his heart, and it showed through the way he lived his life.

He touched so many lives while serving the Lord. Along with his wife as they worked as youth directors for 12 years, where they witnessed and lead several to Christ.

Each and every teen has a special place in his heart and a story to go with it. He was a dedicated member of Southwest Baptist Church in Midland Texas where he will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters in Christ.

Billy Joe is survived by his daughter Connie Offield and husband Artie; his son Tim Taylor and wife Karen; brother Jimmy Don Taylor; grandchildren Brandon Taylor and wife Christina and daughters Addison and Emery, Dusty Taylor and daughters Whitney and Aubree, Trevor Taylor and wife Cyndal, Kyle Morris and wife Brin, Tyler Morris, Nicki Colter and husband John and daughters Michelle and Amiee, Kim Smith and husband Justin and children Kaydence and son Sage, Jennifer Crawford and husband David and children Hayden, Landon, Jolie and Brooks, Chris Offield and wife Amy; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Taft, Scott Lindsey, Blain Hale, John Coulter, Justin Smith, and Trevor Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tyler Morris and Chris Offield.
