Daniel "Dan" Mooneyhan passed away at the age of 80 on July 20th 2022. He was born on January 18, 1942 in Richmond Virginia and joined the US Army at 18 years of age where he proudly served his country for over 30 years until his retirement as a 1st Sergeant. Dan received his bachelor's degree in Science Management Magna Cum Laude from Park University in 1994. He was a resident of El Paso, Texas for 32 years and will be remembered by his wife, friends, and family as having a strong character with a caring heart and kind soul. He will be remembered for opening his arms to his step children and being a great support system to his family. Dan the Man was a hard man to love but we would not have it any other way...Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, with a Rosary to begin at 6:00pm on Tuesday July 26,2022 at Hillcrest Funeral Home 1060 North Carolina Drive. Those who wish to attend Mr. Mooneyhan's rosary virtually can do so at www.hillcrestfuneralhomes.com. A Funeral Mass will be said at 9:30am Wednesday, July 27,2022 at St. Paul Catholic Church 7424 Mimosa Ave. A Committal Serve to follow at 11:00am Tuesday, July 27, at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Due to COVID restrictions all attendees at Ft. Bliss Cemetery must wear a face mask.
