Pleasant United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Whitney Duffourc; brothers, Arthur, Allen, Emory, Leroy, and Harvey Smith; and sisters, Aline Lewallen and Dorothy Garner. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Francine Smith of Homer; daughters, Kay Haugen (David) of Jefferson and Vickie Duffourc of New Orleans, LA; son, Donnie Smith (Misty) of Homer; sister, Eula Mae Mintz of Commerce; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, and two step-great-grandchildren.
