Odelia V. Garcia – Age 67 a resident of Tierra Amarilla passed away on Wednesday, July 11th, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents: Gabriel and Josefita Valdez; sister, Margaret Archuleta; brother, Gusman Valdez; mother and father-in-law: Eufemia & Alberto Garcia; sister-in-law, Maria Luisa Garcia; and brother-in-law, Eddie Garcia. May their souls rest in peace.
She is survived by her husband, Bernie J. Garcia of Tierra Amarilla; children: Cindy G. Martinez of Tierra Amarilla, Bernie Garcia Jr. and wife Donnamae of Tierra Amarilla, Phillip Garcia and wife Angela of Albuquerque and Berna Quintana and husband Freddy of Española; grandchildren: Tamarah Martinez, Bernie Garcia III, Andrew Garcia, Carlos Quintana, Abigail Garcia, and Ryan Garcia; sisters: Benita Garcia and husband Joe of La Mesilla and Gabe Valdez and wife Margie of Albuquerque; brother, Felix Valdez and wife Lorraine of Bernalillo; sister and brothers-in-law: Ruby Valdez of Brazos, Catherine Martinez and husband Julio of Tierra Amarilla, Dulcenia Olguin of La Mesilla, Inez Garcia of Tierra Amarilla, Rebecca Moya and husband Donald of Aztec and Tere Garcia of Cortez, CO; and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A second rosary will be recited on Friday, July 13, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Santo Niño Catholic Church in Tierra Amarilla. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Santo Niño Catholic Church in Tierra Amarilla with Father Salvador officiating. Burial will follow at the Cebolla Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Bernie Garcia III, Andrew Garcia, Carlos Quintana, Ryan Garcia and Greg, Jeff and Arturo Valdez.
