Today as a family we rejoice Glenda Fay Sims, 78, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, who passed away Wednesday February 2, 2022 at Comfort Care Nursing Center in Laurel, Mississippi. She was born Saturday, December 4, 1943 in Clarke County, Mississippi. She went to be in Glory with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Graveside Services will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery and the Burial will follow in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Stanley Doggett will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181
Glenda was a member of Enon Baptist Church. She was also a CNA who always enjoyed taking care of others. Glenda was a beautiful soul. She was very family orientated and had the grit of a true woman. She was an amazing person to know and her memory will live on through her family who loved and cared for her, more than words can describe. Even in this time of sorrow, we are extremely thankful that her pain is no more and her soul is eternally free.
She was preceded in death by husband, Robert Sims, parents, Mosby and Clara Bell Broadhead, brother, Bobby Broadhead, sisters, Bonnie Stanley, Betty Herrington.
Survivors include her daughter, Rita Sumrall (Dale), son, Randy Rowell (Lisa), grandchildren, Zachary Eastwood (Josie), Amanda Smith, great-granddaughters, Jayla Eastwood, Isabella Eastwood, brothers, Dewayne Broadhead, Jimmy Earl Broadhead (Teresa) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
