Manson
Deanna M. (Debar) Taylor, 58, a longtime resident of Manson, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at Central Washington Hospital, Wenatchee.
She was born July 16, 1943, at Wenatchee, the daughter of Bing and Dorothy (Keeney) Debar. She attended schools at Manson and was graduated from Manson High School in 1961. She then moved to Seattle and was married to Edward Michaels at Coeur d'Alene, ID.
Later, she returned to Manson and then moved back to Western Washington.
In the late 70s, she returned to the Lake Chelan area and operated the Farmers Insurance Agency in Chelan which later was operated as Crossler Insurance. She also served as an agent for the Department of Licensing.
In 1981, she moved to Reno, NV, where she attended Truckee Meadows Community College and also served as a paid tutor there.
In 1985, she returned to Manson and for a time was employed at Regency Manor Convalescent Center. She also attended Trend Business College in Wenatchee for two years.
More recently, she had been employed as a waitress at Mill Bay Casino from 1997 until 2001.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and had been a past member of Soroptomists.
Survivors include a son, Tony Crossler of Othello; a daughter, Denine Dietrich of Manson; two brothers, Bing Debar of Woodinville and Kim Debar of Royal City; a sister, Candace Mogan of Manson; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Vigil Service will be conducted Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. at Precht Rose Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 at 1 p.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church. Father Dan Dufner will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Services are under direction of Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
