Linda Marie McCarthy (Meyers) 70, of Wadsworth, Ohio passed away at her home on January 21, 2022. She was born on December 21, 1951 in Bellevue, Ohio and graduated in 1970 from Bellevue High School.

She married James McCarthy in 1972. After living in Cuyahoga Falls, Tallmadge, Bath, and Marion, Ohio, the family moved to Wadsworth in 1984. While in Wadsworth, she worked for Dr. Bruce Manning, the Wadsworth Library driving the bookmobile, and for the Wadsworth City Schools last working as the Isham School secretary.

Her true joy in life was raising three children (Kelly, Lisa and Patrick). Linda loved being involved in each of her children's lives and looked forward to visits with them and her nine grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, James McCarthy of Wadsworth, children Kelly McCarthy (Joe Merchanthouse), of Louisville, Kentucky, Lisa (John) Blum of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Patrick McCarthy of Wadsworth; grandchildren, Rowan, Hayden, Nicholas, Madeline, Vincent, India, Milo, Caroline and Delphine; mother, Peggy Meyers of Bellevue; and sister, Patricia (John) Schaffer of Beverly Hills, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Meyers and her sister, Annette Meyers.

Linda's family will greet friends on Saturday, February 26 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 North Lyman St., Wadsworth with a service held immediately thereafter. Facial coverings are required at all services.

A private burial will occur at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth.

The family would like to thank Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wadsworth for their prayers and spiritual support. Also, the family thanks the nurses and aides of Crossroads Hospice for their 16 months of caring.
