Mr. Boyle settled in Pennsylvania around 1847. He fought in the US Civil War, Company C, Forty-Eighth Pa. Volunteers in 1863. He signed up in Mt. Carmel, Pa. He was married to Catherine/Kate Call in Shamokin, Pa. They had three daughters: Mary Boyle Carr; Catherine/Kate Boyle Sheldon; Annie H. Boyle Smith. Mr. Boyle's mother, Catherine Sause Boyle, is believed to be buried in St. Mary's Catholic Cem. in Beaverdale (just outside of Mt. Carmel, Pa.), Pa. Mr. Boyle was maternal uncle to James E. Brennan who is buried in St. Mary's, same plot as Catherine Sause Boyle and Thomas' sister, Ellen Boyle Brennan, mother of James E. Brennan. Stone says: J. E. Brennan
