Sandy married Robert Pinkerton and had two sons, Sandy then married Raymond Boyd on April 14, 1999, in Hannibal, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2018. Raymond had two daughters, Jackie and Rayla, whom Sandy loved dearly.

Sandy is also survived by her grandchildren, Steven Pinkerton, Thomas (Sarah) Pinkerton, Scott (Corrine) Hannah, Rachel (Sarah) Hannah and Logan Pinkerton along with two great grandchildren Diana and Michael Pinkerton. Sandy spent her early years in Hillview with her parents and older siblings enjoying all the activities young kids did in the '40s and '50s. Sandy then spent many years in White Hall raising her two boys and working for what is now called Pfizer.

Sandy enjoyed caring for her many cats and spending time with her grandchildren when they were young. Sandy retired from Pfizer after 27 years and moved to Neosho, Missouri, where she shared 20 years with Raymond. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Joplin, Missouri and enjoyed all the activities the church offered along with crafting, sewing, flea marketing and attending rummage sales. Sandy then moved to Covington in 2019 to be closer to family where she continued her love for crafting, flea marketing and attending many sporting events watching her grandson.

While in Covington, Sandy was always ready to go, whether it was shopping, out to eat or to visit the many events held at the pond with Molly, her faithful dog. Sandy recently celebrated her 80th birthday with a surprise party at the pond with her Covington family and friends. Her Covington family is very thankful for the few years she was able to spend with them and the wonderful memories they have with her.

Burial will be in Lower Mound Cemetery.
