Mark "Pap" A. Hollingsworth, age 74, of Linton, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, in Terre Haute. He was born in Linton on June 25, 1948.

He was a graduate of Linton-Stockton High School. He worked in the carpenter's union for most of his life until retirement, then he ran his business, Hollingsworth Building. He loved watching Linton Miner Baseball, spending time with his family and decorating for Christmas with his spectacular light display every year. He was a family man first, a hard worker and took a lot of pride in his work that he did to provide for his family.

Pap is survived by his loving wife of almost 32 years, Linsey (Liston) Hollingsworth of Linton; children, Jenny (Gerrit) Cooper of Linton, Amy (Wade) Fanning) of Greencastle, Andrea (Scott) Padgett of Linton and Derick (Rebecca) Richards of Linton; grandchildren, Logan Hollingsworth, Merrick (Rachael) McBride, Lexie McBride, Kaiden Shelton, Alexandria Fanning, Kole Padgett, Thomas Fanning, Max Cooper, Kaulin Padgett, Gabriel Richards, Mason Cooper, Sydney Richards and Isabella Fanning; two great-grandchildren, Layla Hollingsworth and Henry McBride and his fur babies, Phoebe and Izzi.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mark "Markie" G. Hollingsworth.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 with James Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 4-8 p.m., and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Linton Miner Baseball through the funeral home.
