Glenda Kylene Strahan, 72 years old, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022. She was born on May 30, 1950 to Floyd and Adaila Ellington Benbrook in Westminster, Colorado.

She spent most of her childhood in Colorado. She moved to Arkansas and joined the Air Force in 1973, and retired in 1993. She was stationed in Texas, Germany and eventually retired in Mississippi. Her hobbies were crocheting, playing darts and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her husband, Robert Strahan; her daughters, Tammy Boyd and Vickie Hall; her sister, Norma Borgens, her brothers, Jerry Benbrook and Royce Benbrook; 9 grandkids and 7 great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Brenda Jo Strahan; and her brother, Marvin Benbrook.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 22, 2022 in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel, located at 4321 Lake Street, Lake Charles, LA 70605. Rev. Randy Monroe will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation on Friday will be from 9:00 AM until the start of the service at 10:30 AM.
