James Paul Walton, born October 20, 1938 in Columbus, OH to the late Paul and Louise (Stroup) Walton. He passed away to be with the Lord on July 16, 2022.

Jim attended The Ohio State University, where he was a pitcher for the 1957 - 1960 baseball team. He was loyal Buckeye fan his entire life. Jim was also an avid golfer at Wyoming Golf Club, and served as President in the early 90's and also served on the Board of Directors. He was active as a volunteer in the Wyoming community and enjoyed coaching the Wyoming High School baseball team for many years. One of his favorite hobbies was serving as Commissioner of several Fantasy Leagues year-round.

Jim retired from the Kroger Company in 1988 and afterwards became an Accountant for the Presbyterian Church of Wyoming for the next fifteen years.

Jim was the beloved husband of Daryl Ann (Denecke) Walton for 30 years. He was a loving and caring father to James Walton, Jr., Jeffrey Allan (Lynn Danen) Walton and Victoria Walton Fugitte. He was also the adoring grandfather of Macy Fugitte, Annabelle and Clarissa Walton, cherished brother-in-law to Donald, DIane and David Denecke, and loving uncle to Allison and John Howard, Kristin and Mike Curto, Shannon and Mike Steward, and Caroline Denecke. Proud great uncle to Luke Howard, Samantha Howard and Madelyn Curto. He will be greatly missed.
