Mary Elizabeth Meyer
Mary Elizabeth Meyer went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. She was born August 2, 1936, in Calumet, Oklahoma, also known as "God's Country," to Andrew and Mildred (Perkins) Laub.

Mary attended Mt. View Rural School and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1954.

She married Melvin Paul Meyer of Okarche on April 24, 1959. Melvin and Mary were married for 55 years. There were blessed with four children. They farmed and ran a Grade A dairy in the Okarche area, retiring in 2007. She was a member of AMPI, Women's Auxiliary, St. John's Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, Busy Bees HCE and volunteered for the Kingfisher County Election Board, where she enjoyed catching up with her neighbors during election time. She was an active participant in the Okarche Community Fair, Kingfisher County Fair and enjoyed her annual visit to the Great State Fair of Oklahoma.

Mary enjoyed her large garden and canning her harvest, unless the cows got out. She had a natural green thumb and a love for her morning glories and four o'clock flowers. She continued to raise her prize-winning tomatoes through her days at Saint Katharine Drexel. We do admit she wasn't the best cook, having burnt her kitchen down more than once, but she made a fantastic blackberry wine cake, chocolate sheet cake, Johnny slaw and Christmas punch.

She is survived by daughter, Melissa Knecht and husband Denny of Okarche; daughter, Jackie Robinson and husband Keith of Eufaula, daughter, Lori Mahan and husband Randy of Wichita, Kansas, and son, Tom and wife Angie of Okarche; grandchildren, Brandi Krittenbrink and husband Brian, Heath Robinson and wife Rachel, Randy Robinson and wife Taren, Hunter Robinson and wife Jessica, Megan Klinnert and husband Randall, Lauren Stroh and husband Zac, Joshua Meyer and wife Allison, Kristen Laubach and husband Zak, all of Okarche; Taylor McKee and husband Ernie of Oklahoma City and Connor Mahan of Kansas City, Kansas. Her great-grandchildren are Wyatt Krittenbrink and fiancΓ© Hannah, Grace Krittenbrink, Carter, Reese and Thatcher Robinson, Haiden, Eli and Kyla Robinson, Wade, Faye, Cora, Aggie and Demi Klinnert, Jeffrey and Vincent Stroh, Macy and Henry Meyer, Leo Laubach and, arriving in January, baby McKee. She also is survived by sister, Katheryn Carrero and husband Enrique of Key Biscayne, Florida; brother, Mike Laub of Calumet; sister, Maxine Eden and husband Anthony of El Reno; sister-in-law, Corky Rohwer of Calumet; and brother-in-law, Clifford Meyer and wife Dolores of Okarche.

She is presided in death by her husband Melvin; her parents, brother, Tom Laub; and grandchildren, Tyler Knecht and Katlyn Knecht.

A celebration of her life will be held Monday, July 25 at 10 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Okarche, Oklahoma.
