Edna Earl Turner Young, age 84, of Chatsworth, passed away Monday, July 19, 2022.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Paul and Idell Turner; brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Carolyn Turner; brother James Turner.
Survived by her loving husband of 67 years; Maynard Young; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Laura Young of Chatsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Adam Sluder of Marietta; grandchildren, Justin, Travis, Ryan, Lynsey, Alison Young, Maisie, and Myles Sluder; sister-in-law, Linda Turner, of Louisville KY; several nieces and nephews and cousins, also survive.
Mrs. Young was a lifetime member of Spring Place Baptist Church, in charge of the nursery at age 13, and taught Sunday school at age 16. A charter member of the Chatsworth Pilot Club and a member of the Bird and Garden Club of Dalton.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Edna Earl Young will be Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 4 pm at Spring Place Baptist Church, with Ronald Guffey and Tim Batchelor officiating. Interment will be at Spring Place Cemetery.
