Dorothy was born on January 30, 1934, in Salisbury, MO, the daughter of John and Gretna Mildred (Scott) Scott. She was united in marriage to William "Bill" Johnson, Jr. on November 3, 1956, in Higbee, MO. Dorothy worked for Toastmasters for many years. She had a green thumb and loved growing flowers, enjoyed word searches, reading books, watching the Little League World Series and especially spending time with her family.
Dorothy is survived by four children, John Bagby of Macon, Debbie Wells and her husband Pat of West Plaines, MO, Patty Johnson and her friend Glenn Townsend of Irvington, AL, and Laura Johnson and her husband Tony of Kansas City, MO, six grandchildren, William Gordon and his wife Haru, Ryan Gordon and his wife Taylor, Whitney Hoy and her husband Nate, Tiffany Clem and her husband Joe, Sarah Hall and Nick, and Nolan Johnson and Ashley, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, and two sisters, Sharon and Nancy.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Monday, July 25, 2022, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, with Rev. Kelly Perry and Bro. Jim Bolin officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Moberly, MO. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Sunday evening, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Randy Johnson Memorial Fund.
