Daniel Kyte Church, age 72, of Millers Creek, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist-Wilkes Medical Center. Mr. Church was born July 25, 1949 in Wilkes County to Rev. Daniel Lee and Thelma Baldwin Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Joey Daniel Church and Jason Church; and sister, Carol Spears.

Kyte was a passionate husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather and truly loved his family. He could be found hunting, tending to his animals, splitting wood, working on lawn mowers, gardening or anything else he could do outside. Everything he did was for his family. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for those in need. Kyte will be forever missed by his family and friends.

Kyte as he was known to many is survived by his wife, Debra Church of the home; sons, Dennis Church (Sherry), Jimmy Church (Latasha) all of Millers Creek; granddaughters, Autumn Prevette, Montana Church, Ember Church; grandsons, Jeff Ashley, Logan Church, Gunner Church, Colton Church; brother, Harrold Church (Vicky) of Millers Creek; sisters, Judy Church of Shepherds Crossroads. Brenda Smith (Randy) of Millers Creek.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Bullis Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Minton officiating. Burial will follow in the Bullis Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Bullis Baptist Church from 1:00 until 2:00 on Wednesday, prior to the service. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
