Born March 22, 1926 in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter to the late Oden G. Wolfe and the former Ora K. Garnhart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Brown Sr.; son, Donald E. "Butch" Brown Jr.; grandson, Joey Brion; granddaughter, Casandra (Brown) Barton; three brothers, Sonny, Robert and Donald Wolfe; and a sister, Violet Paulhamus.
Gladys attended Jersey Shore schools and was a member of the former Jersey Shore Church of God. She retired from Brodart, Inc. after 27 years of service.
She is survived by two sons, David L. (Christine) Brown of Jersey Shore and Gerald L. (Wanda) Brown of Jersey Shore; three daughters, Donna M. (Larry) Riggle of Jersey Shore, Deborah D. (Robert) Brungard of Lock Haven, and Cynthia L. (Dennis) White of Castanea; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of service at Welker Funeral Home.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
