Kenneth Ray Ramey age 82, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at his home. Mr. Ramey was a lifelong resident of Clintwood and a United States Army Veteran. He was a building contractor and a handyman for many people including Clintwood Funeral Home. He was a member of the Cumberland Church of the Brethren and played music for the Lord for over 50 years. Mr. Ramey was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather
Mr. Ramey was preceded in death by his parents, Algie And Tessie Ramey and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Ramey of Clintwood; son, Kenneth Ramey, Jr. and wife Jackie of Tifton, Georgia; his daughter, Sharon Fleming of Clintwood; 2 brothers, Roger Ramey of Clintwood and Bill Ramey of Pound; 1 sister, Oleta Jo Keith of Haysi; grandchildren, Kolton Riley Mullins, Billy Lee Fleming, Aidan and Gabriel Ramey; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 8th, 7 pm at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Harold Rose officiating. Visitation will begin at 5 pm. Family and friends are requested to meet at Ramey Family Cemetery, Blowing Rock, Saturday, July 9th, at 1 pm for a graveside service. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
