Patricia Sue Knicely Thomas, 80, of Dresden, Ohio died Saturday afternoon, February 12, 2022 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Born July 24, 1941 in Zanesville, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Valley and Kathrine (McCall) Knicely and was a 1959 graduate of New Concord High School. Patricia was a cook at Tri-Valley High School and retired after 40 years of service and was a faithful member of Prospect United Methodist Church and Grange. She was a 4-H advisor and the Lady Dawgs biggest fan.

Surviving are her children, Brenda K. Black of Dresden, Mark (Kathy) Thomas of Bloomingdale, Ohio, Michael (Michele) Thomas of Zanesville and Valerie (John) Williams of Dresden; eighteen grandchildren, Shantelle (Nick) Robinson, Billie Jo (Andrew Harvey) Black, Kayla (Dustin) Weese, Lindsey (Joey) Gracyk, Kyle (Stacey Morrison) Noland, Tami (Brent) Depuy, Kurtis E. (Lharnie) Thomas, Kenneth (Maggie) Thomas, Danae (R.J.) Davis, Carol (Denton Jones) Thomas, Mikey Thomas Jr., Trent Bagley, Tylor (Taylor) Bagley, Erika (Rob) Snyder, John Williams Jr., David Williams II, Cleve Venoy and Che´ Venoy; thirty great grandchildren and two on the way; four siblings, Richard (Charlene) Knicely, Bob (Ann) Knicely, JoAnn Thomas and Kenneth Knicely; several nieces and nephews and her extended family at Prospect United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin D. Thomas, whom she married December 29, 1960 and who died July 15, 2008; a daughter, Cindy R. Robinson; a sister-in-law, Sue Knicely and a brother-in-law, Bob Thomas.

Friends and family may call from 2-4PM and 6-8PM on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor Sharon Williamson, her son and daughter-in-law, Pastor Mark and Pastor Kathy Thomas and her grandson, Pastor Kurtis Thomas officiating.

Patricia will be laid to rest at Prospect Cemetery, Dresden.
