Charles Edwin Anderson, age 83, Stillwater MN, of Woodbury died peacefully at home on July 10, 2022 surrounded by the love of his family after complications arising from his battle with Parkinson's.

Charlie was born on July 2, 1939 in Saint Paul, the son of Edna "Marj" (Peterson) and Algot Anderson.

He served his country as a US Navy Seabee (MCB 11: 1958-1962). A talented stone-mason and bricklayer, he worked for his father before taking over his business and starting Blue Line Construction. Charlie was called to public service and after a brief time as a Maplewood Police Officer became a Saint Paul Police Officer in 1972. He retired with the rank of Sergeant in 1999, impressing upon many his work ethic and steady leadership. Charlie enjoyed fishing, hunting, pickled herring, and crossword puzzles. As he grew older his affection for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren multiplied.

Charlie is survived by Barbara (Sanft), his loving wife of 47 years; children by Jeannette (Sweeney), Mike (Jean) Anderson, Shellee (Tom) Parenteau, Kaarin (Greg) Hosch, Kristin (Loren) Capeti; children by Barb, Charlie (Betsy) Anderson and Jenny (Cullen) Shields; sister Sandy; and his many grand and great-grandchildren as well as other family and friends.
