Juana U. Garcia
May 15, 1945 - July 12, 2022

Juana (Janie) Garcia of Visalia, CA., passed away peacefully on July 12th, 2022 at her home. Janie was born on May 15th, 1945 in Donna, TX. to Jose Urrea and Manuela A. Urrea.
Janie is survived by her husband, Rolando Garcia, of 58 years, and her 5 children, Olga Alvarado, Ora Gonzalez, and Rolando Jr., Rudy, and Ruben Garcia. Beyond her children, Janie is also survived by an abundance of loved ones, including 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 5 of her siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Janie spent her adolescent years living in Texas with her parents and siblings. After spending some time in Texas, her parents, siblings, and herself migrated to California; the Central Valley then became her forever home, where she lived in multiple different towns. Commencing at a young age, Janie began to work in numerous different areas. While working endlessly, she met the love of her life; they got married, had their beautiful children, and lived happily.
When asking someone what Janie's greatest characteristic was, anyone would
immediately answer, "hard-working". Janie spent all of her life working tirelessly to provide for her family. She spent her life picking delicious fruit all over the Central Valley, working in her sister's flower shop, and decorated beautiful cakes. She was a dedicated woman in everything she set her heart to, and she never failed to do anything without a beautiful smile on her face that
would light up miles of darkness.
Janie had a vast amount of hobbies, but everyone knew just how much she loved to cook. In her free-time, you could find her in the kitchen making homemade flour tortillas or a delectable chocolate cake with walnuts. She adored spending time with all of her family, especially her kids and grand/great-grandkids. She loved hosting weekend get-togethers and
holiday parties. Janie also enjoyed browsing through various stores and traveling to visit her family in different states. And most notably, she loved to make everyone laugh and give all her love to everyone that was around her.
Janie is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Urrea and Manuela A. Urrea, her two brothers, Jesus and Domingo Urrea, and her two sisters, Mary Esquibel and Herlinda Garcia.
Funeral services for Janie will be held at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel in Visalia on Friday, July 22nd, 2022, at 5pm.
