Marcella June Shoemaker,98, of Decatur died Friday, July 15, 2022 at Liberty Village of Clinton nursing home. Services celebrating her life will be held at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home Visitation will be held from 12 noon to 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 23, 2022. A funeral service will follow all at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home in Decatur Il. Burial will be Marrowbone Cemetery in Bethany Il following the service.
Marcella was born in June 18, 1924 in Brocton, Illinois the daughter of Owen and Ettoil (St. Clair) Coon. She married Russell E. Shoemaker March 1, 1941 in St. Charles, MO.
Surviving are three daughters, Sue (Sonny) Andrews, Linda (Sterling) Snyder and Connie Shoemaker, son-in-law, Donald Fisher, daughter-in-law, Connie K. Shoemaker; 13 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great- grandchildren; sister, Norma Neese as well as many extended family and friends
Her parents, husband, 2 children, Sharon Fisher and Russell S. Shoemaker; 1 grandchild, 3 sisters and 2 brothers preceded her in death.
The family would like to thank Liberty Village of Clinton and Kindred Hospice Care for their loving care of their mother.
